WWAS is a niche, dynamic and diversified broker that delivers risk and insurance services and solutions to its clients. One of its main business segments relates to the handset and device insurance with mobile network operators, which makes it highly complementary to the rest of the DNI Group.

Sebenza Wifi provides free access to the internet for taxi and bus commuters via routers & devices. Sebenza provides access to its platform (which in turn has content, media, services and other offerings available) to the commuters and in so doing creates an attractive ecosystem for digital marketing spend and D2C marketing.

DNI is also invested in Specpack, which manages field teams for clients that can represent the client’s company at point of sale outlets and act according to the strategy and code of principle of the company.

Retail Mobile Solutions assists with bundling sim cards with handsets on behalf of MNOs into the retail space.

Lastly, DNI has an investment in MobileMart, which is a leading distributor of prepaid products (mostly airtime/data) and other transactional services in South Africa.

Worldwide Advisory Services

WWAS is a dynamic and diversified financial services intermediary and administrator that provides bespoke insurance, administrative and risk management services to its clients.

WWAS has developed a proprietary and modular Insurtech platform which allows for the design of innovative solutions for its clients’ local and international insurance, administration and risk financing needs.

WWAS is a licenced FSP for both long and short-term insurance as well as a Lloyd’s open market correspondent.

Tyrone Waterston
Founder and Chief Executive Officer - WWAS

Tyrone founded WWAS over 20 years ago and has successfully steered the organisation through the rapid advancement of the insurance and telecoms sectors. During his tenure he has continually adapted the business in order to meet the varied demands of the Insurtech environment.

Tyrone has pioneered the convergence of Insurance and Telecoms businesses and has led the design and deployment of innovative and disruptive insurance products that have been sold to millions of customers in South Africa, Pan Africa, and the United Kingdom.                 

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce as well as an Honours Degree, an International Capital Markets Qualification, and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

WERNER VAN REENEN
MD - MOBILE MART

Werner was appointed as Managing Director of Mobile Mart in 2018.  His primary focus is to strategically lead and align the daily operations of the business to achieve its goals. 

Werner completed his National Diploma in Marketing at the Technikon Witwatersrand in 1998.  In addition, he completed his Baccalaureus Technologia at the Technikon SA (UNISA) in 2000. 

Craig Kidson
SALES EXECUTIVE - RMS

A seasoned Executive of 29 years in the telecommunications industry including Network Operator start ups as well as OEM distribution and growth of mobile handsets.

His roles included the management and growth of Cell C’s sales and distribution post launch in early 2000’s and subsequently heading up Samsung Mobile Southern Africa until 2011.

Craig and his team currently manage the outsourced retail sales and distribution business of Cell C focussed on increased market share and revenue growth.

Samantha Naidoo
General manager - RMS

Samantha is a professional with 26 years of experience in the Telecommunication industry. Samantha’s career has encompassed renowned organizations such as MTN, Sony, Microsoft, and Edcon, providing her with invaluable opportunities to travel the world and expand her horizons.

In 2017, Samantha joined our esteemed group and began her journey at Evercomm, she was promoted in 2021 to the position of GM of Retail Mobile Solutions where her core responsibilities are to drive high-performing teams, develop effective strategies, drive successful marketing and sales initiatives, and execute retail and commercial operations.

Charmaine Venter Phillips
General Manager - SPECPACK

Charmaine has over a period of 28 years built up a wealth of retail experience and operational exposure, that has served her well in becoming a driving force and a dynamic player in the Field Marketing and Telecommunications sector.  

Having entered the Field marketing services 12 Years ago, Charmaine has successfully managed relationships with clients and exceeded key requirements and expectations of major clients.

Developing, communicating, and implementing strategic and operational intent are key skills that have been the driving force towards excellence that has been achieved in the market.
