MOBILE DISTRIBUTION

Mobile Distribution consists of the Sim Group and DNI Mobile.

The operating model of the Sim Group is primarily related to sim card / starter pack distribution on behalf of mobile network operators (‘MNOs’) and mobile virtual network operators (‘MVNOs’).

The business operates primarily as a B2B, receiving and aggregating sim cards received from MNOs and distributing these sim cards through various last mile distribution hubs/channels such as spaza shops and wholesalers as well as other sub-dealers.

The core competency of the Group is via the dual relationships with the MNOs and key distribution channels to maximise net inflow revenue, connection rates and ARPUs.

The Sim Group has over 4.5m active subscribers and over 18,000 points of presence, making it one of the largest independent distribution partners to the MNOs in SA.

The Starter Pack Company

The Starter Pack Company was founded in 2007 after identifying a market need for a specialist multi-network pre-paid sim distribution supplier.

The Company has since evolved further and today they not only offer pre-paid sim cards on behalf of all the South African cellular networks, but also offer customers RICA functionality and the ability to sell value added products such as pre-paid airtime, data and electricity. VIEW WEBSITE

DNI Retail

DNI Retail is a wholesale business offering starter packs nationwide and was established in 2002. DNI Retail is responsible for:

  1. Distribution of Cell C starter packs and airtime
  2. Building and maintaining relationships with mobile retail partners
  3. Direct Route to Market – a unique service with the ability to deliver prepaid starter packs to various delivery channels and has been proven successful through customer partnerships.

Switch Mobile

Switch Mobile was founded in 2018 and distributes sim cards to it’s unique distribution channels on behalf of the mobile networks. VIEW WEBSITE

VSPC

Vocall Starter Pack Company (“VSPC”) is a wholesale business offering Vodacom starter packs. It leverages the networks of TSPC and Switch Mobile to distributes sim cards to access unique distribution channels on behalf of Vodacom.

GRAEME BRYSON
CEO

Graeme Bryson has over 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. His career began at Vodacom where he contributed significantly to their success. Graeme then moved to informal distribution channels within other companies where he identified a market need for specialist multi-network pre-paid sim distribution supplier.

The Starter Pack Company was then born and as founder and Managing Director shaped the company into a market leader. Growing the business revenue and reach by offering pre-paid sim cards on behalf of all South African Cellular networks while at the same time creating opportunities for all South Africans.
